Capcom launched the six original eight-bit Mega Man games on iOS and Android. In each game, players will need to help Mega Man defeat enemies in order to save the day.
With these releases, Capcom said it optimized each title’s gameplay and difficulty for smartphones “so that certain elements will differ from the original game[s].”
For instance, each game includes two difficulty options. The first is a normal mode, which offers unlimited continues from the last checkpoint players passed in a level. The other option is a hard mode, which limits the number of continues, reduces the number of checkpoints in levels and contains enemies that deal more damage.
Users can also choose between two gameplay speeds—normal and high—as well as two attack modes. The default attack mode is an auto-firing mode, which allows users to continually fire their weapon by holding down the attack button. The other option is a manual mode, which allows users to fire their weapon one time each time the attack button is pressed.
These Mega Man games are now available to download for $1.99 each on the iTunes App Store and Google Play. The download links for each game are available below.
